50th Anniversary – What a Night…

Hi Everyone, well our 50th anniversary has come and gone, the night went far to quickly but certainly was a ripper and one to remember for years to come. It was great to see so many smiling faces..

With well over 250 current and past members attending it was such a memorable evening, the memorabilia room, the 36 motorcycles on display proved to be very popular. It didn’t lack for something to look at.  Many of our current and past members hadn’t see each for many years and in some cases it was decades so there was plenty of catching up to be done, a true Yak Fest!

Dinner was a casual affair but very popular along with music and a little dancing later in the evening.  We all know a night like this just doesn’t happen, was a wonderful team effort. On behalf of everyone who attended a very big thank you goes out to the members that made the following all come together:

  • Locking in a date and organising the function centre, food, band, decorations
  • Function area set-up and the much more difficult clean-up the following morning
  • Organising our 3 new Honor Boards
  • Designing and organising the 50th Polo Shirts & Merchandise
  • Our wonderful 50th Banner
  • Yummy 50th Cake
  • Everyone who brought their awesome bikes and club memorabilia along
  • Photo’s of the night
  • Spreading the word to past members
  • The brave members who acted as security over two nights to  protect some very valuable items
