Much loved friend of the KWRMCC

Vale Francis  Scott… Fran as she was known to many KWRMCC riders. 

The KWRMCC first began a relationship with the Woods Point Hotel on Queens birthday weekend 1974, and that is how we came to know and love Fran.

Fran was just the best…. she not only looked after us in her many roles at the pub, but in her other role as an ambo…..  where she literally  ‘picked a few of us up’ from time to time as needed.  Fran had a cracking sense of humour and could hold her own against the boys  at any time.

Fran was a keen and accurate shooter, so the lads knew not to mess with her too much. Fact however is that they absolutely respected her for who she was.

In 1994  Fran made Skeet History in Teams with  Carol Ogden by being admitted to the Skeet Hall of Fame. Well done Fran!

Fran was always a welcoming and smiling face at the Woods Point pub… always with a bit of fun added in.

Fran is much loved and will be sadly missed by our Club.

Thankyou Fran for all you did for us, all you did for the Woods Point community and those who visited Woods Point and had the good fortune to meet you.

You are absolutely ‘the stuff legends are made of’… and will be very sadly missed.

Fran’s funeral service is this Tuesday, 2nd September at 1pm in the Woods Point RSL hall…. followed by burial at the Woods Point cemetery…. then back to the Woods Point RSL hall for the wake and memories shared.

       RIP lovely lady…. a well earned rest. With much love and thanks…  from ALL your KWRMCC family.
