John was also a Founding member of the KWRMCC at the young age of 17 years. Purchasing his first bike (Suzuki TS125J) from Koo Wee Rup Motors (Lindsay & Bob Hansen) in 1972 and has continued riding dirt, road and adventure bikes throughout the clubs history. Becoming Club President in 1978, a position held over several years. At this stage of the clubs history it had members riding competitively in scrambles, enduro’s and was very social with organised trail rides every fortnight, day and night ! In 2019 John was elected Club President again and continued through the Covid epidemic years…
