Hi Everyone, with unbelievably good weather for the middle of winter it was an amazing turnout for this years memorial ride held on 16th July.
In all there were 50+ members that ventured out in the cold along with family and friends, some making a weekend of it staying up at the nearby area known as “The Block” while others made it a day trip. The scheduled meeting time at the Memorial Stone for the trail and road bike riders was 12:30pm and all went pretty well to plan. The trail riders turning up covered in mud as they should and the road/adventure riders arriving intact without anyone getting to seriously lost…
Our BBQ volunteers had arrived earlier and had already set up and were cooking by this time and certainly had their work cut out for them getting the snags, onions and dim sims cooking. After enjoying some warm tucker and a cool drink we all headed over to the memorial for a few words for our dearly missed club members, family, mates and friends. They may no longer be with us but never forgotten for what they all brought to the “KooWee” club, mateship, hard work, good times, pushing boundaries and of course their passion for motorcycling.
It was wonderful to have a mixture of older and newer members taking part in remembrance of our past history, a very important part of our club with this also being our 50th Anniversary.
Finally just a quick thank you to everyone that could make it along but special mention to Beau for organising the Block and leading the dirtbikes, Dean for bringing his well equipped ute full of handy BBQing stuff and Childsy, Shelly and young Harry for cooking up a storm, it was really appreciated by everyone that attended 🙂
